Yes, Adalind did try to find a new dad for her baby because Nick wasn't the best option since they were enemies. It wasn't right at all and I don't see anyone saying it was. When Victor wasn't a viable candidate, she had no choice to go to Nick because Kenneth knew she was pregnant and that Nick was the father. He was going to use her and the unborn baby to get Juliette to help them. He didn't care if Juliette killed her. There is nothing on screen to show that Adalind went Nick just to have him for herself.

That's fine, no one is demanding you to like Adalind or to care for her. You just can't rewrite the story to fit your narrative, that's what people are debating.

Sean was always the first person she turned to and even he betrayed her until she showed up heavily pregnant. Adalind waited months before telling Nick the truth about the babyand she only did that because of Juliette being a threat to her and her baby. That doesn't sound like she planned to snag Nick for herself. She was afraid he'd take her son away, like he did Diana. She risked that over her son dying before he even had a chance to live.

This isn't the Madonna here. Adalind wanted to snag Viktor. When that didn't work out she went to Nick.
She didn't want to do that either. Viktor was already gone and she needed someone to pass off as the baby's father before the truth could come out but Kenneth was smarter than he looked. If she needed a magic DNA test to prove Diana was blue blood, there was no way she could legitimately pass Kelly off as a royal longer than it took for Kenneth to figure it out. Adalind was trying to buy herself time. You said it yourself, she's a scrapper, she would have done and said anything to ensure her and the baby's survival. In the end she did when she went to the station not knowing how it would turn out.

I said she was a scrapper, not a moocher. She isn't even taking responsibility for her own actions.

Saying that even sounds ridiculous because it's not what actually happened. Adalind had zero interest in Nick beyond using him as a human shield against Juliette.

Absolutely¡
Yes and for us Nickliette shipper it's like a slap in the face. Not that Eve came back but the thing with Nadalind and everything seems like: peace, joy and pancakes.

Taking responsibility.

Before Nick finds out where the x on the map is for the stick treasure the push was mostly Nick towards Adalind.
