They were regular knights according to what I remember hearing on the show but some could well have been knights Templar. The real Knights templar though were even better trained than knights since all they did was basically figth and pray they basically considered themselves gods warriors. They were originally created to protect Christian pilgrims in the holyland from Muslim attack.

We don't know that. In point of fact, we don't even know if it's true. Monroe himself said it was not "so common" knowledge. One wonders how he come by it then.

What seems to corroborate that the furis rubians were somehow in on this whole Pope thing, is the episode, The Believer. Dwight used his wesen woge to simulate the devil. These supposed imprisoned furis rubians did exactly the same thing. The end result for Dwight was the same as the furis rubians. Apparently many believed they were devils and neither refused the money that came their way. They both perpetrated a fraud.
If you're going to argue that what's presented as fact on the screen isn't fact, then we're done talking about this.

You act as though that has never ever been done on this forum before. But, have it your way. We're done talking about this.
Yes it has. That's when things break down and dicappatore starts ranting about prejudiced posters making stuff up to support false arguments. Kills all the fun.

Yout point's well taken, but I didn't bring up the argument in an effort to make up stuff.
Like that ever matters here?

To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
