Renard didn’t tell anyone other than Adalind, when it benefited him for her to know, that Meisner took Diana from the Royals. Adalind didn’t tell anyone, and unless Renard told him, Meisner never found out that Adalind knew he took Diana.
Nick and his team didn’t learn that HW had Diana all along until near the end of S5 when Meisner told him that BC took her from the HW safe house. Nick didn’t tell Adalind that he learned where Diana was. Until Meisner’s disclosure to Nick, Team Grimm assumed Diana was with the Royals.
Actually, this may be the best clandestine, twist & turn scenario on the entire show.
Agree that Meisner was more than a simple operative or agent for hire. I think Meisner functioned much like Renard in that he feels remorse and compassion but doesn’t let his emotions interfere in doing what has to be done. Meisner likely told Renard he killed the King and took Diana because he didn’t want Renard learning the helicopter didn’t reach it’s destination and assuming the King and Diana died in a crash. But his compassion didn’t compel him to disclose Diana’s location.

Quote:How was Meisner an operative for the Resistance and working for HW on the same day during the last show of season 4?Why would the Resistance and HW be an either-or for Meisner? Loyalty to one doesn’t automatically require disloyalty to the other.
Quote:Syscrash believed that the resistance all converted to HW. I believe that Meisner betrayed the resistance or pretended to be the resistance when working with the royals to protect HW. In season 3, Meisner was more than a simple operative. What do you think? The show never mentioned the Resistance having a relationship with HW one way or the other, so whether allies, enemies, or simply indifferent to one another, it’s purely speculation without any facts to back it up. The Resistance was dedicated to taking down the Royal families, so I don’t see them abandoning their mission to fight a Wesen uprising unless the Royals were involved - and the show never indicated any connection between the Royals and BC.
