The cops in Nick's precinct didn't know he was a Grimm. I doubt they would appreciate being sought after if their natural instinct is to assume Nick is a typical Grimm that kills first and asks questions later. Or they did know, seeing as how some wesen knew about the Portland Grimm that wasn't quick to kill and sometimes helped wesen but preferred to remain anonymous anyway so as not to rock the boat between them. Nick and these cops could continue working side by side without the awkwardness. Honestly I don't they would've known the identity of the Portland Grimm not without woging in front him or having a friend or relative point him out to them. Sean didn't exactly come out about being a half Zauberbiest either, not until BC came knocking and he only worked openly with wesen cops affiliated with BC.
And another thing to consider, how many wesen want to be known to be working with a Grimm in their communities? Nick became best friends with two and is close to Bud probably because of the kind of people they are as much as Nick's willingness to be around wesen. They weren't as prejudiced any more than Nick was and were open to an unorthodox relationship with a Grimm. Monroe's family was understandably cautious where Nick was concerned but because of Monroe they accepted him on that basis, the same way Kelly accepted Monroe and Rosalee because of her son. I don't think Nick not working with good wesen cops is something to be held against him anymore than the good wesen cops choosing not to work with him. Of the two, Nick is the most open and willing to build a relationship with wesen but they have chosen to stay on their lane for whatever reason only known to them. Nick has only been a Grimm for about six years, while they've been wesen for a good 20 years or more before coming across a Grimm as open minded as Nick. It's a lot easier for Nick to be inclusive because from the beginning that's what he was, can we honestly say the same about these wesen cops?I'm not saying they are bad but working with any Grimm could be a step too far for them. Nick is more likely to work with HW affiliated wesen cops than regular ones at this rate.
