Hi Forum,
From TVLine I have read:
TVLine - In the brand new role of Eve, a mysterious woman working with Hadrian’s Wall (aka those battling Black Claw) who has all of Juliette’s memories… but none of her emotional attachments.... and
Greenwalt - to keep my word, [Juliette] is dead. She’s coming back, but it’s not really Juliette anymore. It’s this new character, Eve, who has not been brainwashed exactly, but she’s been through some incredibly tough training where they broke her down to nothing. She’s basically a super Hexenbiest weapon for Hadrian’s Wall to fight Black Claw.
So someone help me understand this "emotionless memory" thing. There is research such as:
http://www.spring.org.uk/2006/11/separat...nition.php
Where it states: "It is now well established that emotion enhances episodic memory. However, it remains unclear whether the same neural processes underlie enhancement of memory for both emotional stimuli and neutral stimuli encoded in an emotive context."
I am not a medical professional but it seems logical that memories include the emotions felt during the event.
If Hexenette was driven by hatred and rage to torch the trailer and Eve remembers doing it how can she not remember the hatred and rage that caused her to commit arson and the sadistic gratification she took in calling Nick to tell him? Are the directors sending Bitsie to acting classes to learn how to be wooden? Probably not needed. She has the emotional expression of a 2x4 nailed. Oh no! Pun violation! Eve would not get that since humor is an emotion.
