Nicked killed Adalind’s Hexenbiest in episode 1.17 and Adalind didn’t regain her Hexenbiest until episode 3.14. Considering Adalind’s ‘there’s-nothing-I-won’t-do-to-get-my-powers-back’ obsession and the length of time it took her to regain her powers, I would hope for something exciting & intense if the writers make Adalind getting her powers back again part of a future story arc.
There’s too many potentially interesting questions left unanswered concerning the many rituals Adalind endured during her pregnancy with Diana and the suppressant made from her dead Hexenbiest Mother.
Was Adalind’s Hexenbiest reborn? Is a reincarnated Hexenbiest residing in her? Was a Hexenbiest created just for Adalind during the ritual? When Adalind took the suppressant in episode 4.20 it looked like two Hexenbiests rose up from her before being forced down.
Did all the special powers obtained from the rituals only affect Diana? Diana is clearly more than a Hexenbiest inherited from her Mother. Is it conceivable that Adalind also has these powers and they just haven’t manifested yet? If so, Adalind was ritually-enhanced when she took Nick’s Grimm. Could that be the reason Juliette became such a powerful Hexenbiest when she and Nick reversed Adalind’s original spell? In theory, Juliette temporarily became Adalind.
Adalind told Rosalee in episode 5.2 that the suppressant makes her Hexenbiest too unpredictable. Unpredictable in what way? Adalind wouldn’t be as concerned if the suppressant might weaken her power. So what is her concern; frighteningly more powerful, unable to control, could make her inherently evil despite her desire to be good?
