Can you think of new wessen, with new abilities, that might have shown up in Season 8? Uncle Felix's books might have been used to ID and defeat the wessen. One I can imagine would be a wessen who could spread conflict in a group - think the cupid in Blind Love. They would draw needed life "fluids" from conflict, like the one who feed on other people's sleep. They could be hired to spread discord in a group you wanted destroyed--companies, marriages, political groups. One might show up in Portland and try to destroy the scoobies, being paid by the royals or a surviving faction of BC. Any other suggestions?
Are grimms needed in the world, what do you think the world of Grimm would look like if grimms disappeared completely would there be more violence and carnage from the wesen towards humans, would more humans be forced to learn about dangerous Wesen in order to deal with them the way grimms did. Are grimms infact not needed as I have heard one or two posters saying in the past, do they actually cause more trouble than they are worth, personally I believe they were needed judging by the way the show presented the wesen world. I personally think grimms played a key part in the balancing act between humans and wesen in the Grimm world.
If there was no BC or some violent terrorist-like push behind wesen coming out of the shadows, how would that play out, if facilitated by an alliance of sorts between the governments and the wesen council? How do the go about coming out without chaos ensuing? How would the man on the ground handle it if their spouse, best friend, co-worker turned out to be wesen?
I wish the show had delved more on this than the BC/mayor plot. It could have circled back to the original fairytale premise but with the whole world in the know, instead of limiting the knowledge of wesen to just Grimms. It would have been interesting to see two different "cultures" making room for one another across the entire spectrum of society. I don't think revealing the truth wholesale would work, but how do you do it?
It could probably raise the Grimm profile knowing such people exist. HW was already more keen in doing so and the WC has also been seen working with Nick, a Grimm. Instead of "policing" wesen who commit violent crimes, you extend that to humans who do the same against wesen. Basically I'd like to see this world explored more deeply past what we saw on the show (Nick's corner of the world).
Mr Z appeared in the mirrors of Nick and Monroe, no one else. Why just theirs? No one else in the gang was bothered. I wonder if Mr Z's staff alerted him that the last piece was active and had been used to cure Nick,Monroe and Eve/Juliette, who was living with Nick and working in Monroe's basement. How did he know Nick was the one he wanted? I am not sure if this was covered in other threads, if so please let me know and what the general belief was.
I started watching Grimm in the first season. I was interested in the show because it was filmed in Portland, and there was a lot of interest here in the local community. It's sad we no longer have this show here, but it left a memorable imprint in this city.
On one hand, i grew up with the scifi-mystery drama, and Grimm was a great fit. But for me, what made it was seeing Portland being fictionalized and portrayed on screen. I would also see people I know from time-to-time casted as extras, and sometimes small roles. It was exciting to see what would be next in an episode.
I'm curious community, what brought you into Grimm?
Rolek told Nick he couldn't do what his dad did or what Nick was doing. Of hand I can't remember where he live but I do remember it was a large city in PA.
We know he was a Grimm we know he would fight and kill for his life and the life of his son. So I don't see him as a coward, now for the but how did he live under wesen radar?
Like did he have a behind the scene office job? Did he ware sun glasses when out in public? Did his wife know? Was she the reason he didn't work as a Grimm? How much would he have to limit his outdoor life?
Grimm's S06 episodes had an average rating/share of 0.8/3.
Emerald City, the series that replaced Grimm, was cancelled after 10 episodes, never bringing in better than 0.6/2
The series currently in Grimm's old time slot, Taken, started its S01 airing on Monday nights and brought in 1.6/6, but by midseason had leveled off at...0.8/3. It was moved to Grimm's old time slot for its S02 where it is currently bringing in 0.5/2.
We have some on the forum who think Nick should have left the force after becoming a Grimm.
Now remember we are talking a TV series so lets look a why they the made Nick a police officer and ask if the series would have worked as well if he wasn't.
With these as a guild 1. Wessen when woged DNA has changed, 2. Wessen when woged have no fingerprints. Taking out the labs for a wesen kill or crime.
So how would a non police officer get access to the info and than the Grimm Nick found the bad guy?
Wessen we know can and often do kill as wesen but you need a Grimm to know it was wessen.
We aren't debating the Police code in this only ways to split the two.
It's obvious from the series that Nick was being paid by Renard to be a grimm. But flash forward 20 years and now we have the kids involved in the business. Are they, along with Nick, charging for wesen pest removal?
I did a fast count of those whose who have posted at this site in the last 6 months. There are 25 more or less. I fell there should be a gathering of the faithful, where we can share our ideas and yell out our superior understanding at the clueless unenlightened among us. Some isolated park around Portland or in the Dark Forest on a wet dark night would be best, where we would be less likely scare small children and pets. No guns ,knives, swords, axes, potions, or woging would be allowed. Suggestions invited, RSVP.
We've all posted about different issues we've taken with the characters and their actions, but it's easy to forget their behavior always boils down to what the writers did to them. Over the show's six seasons on the air, we've seen Nick & Co. commit some pretty appalling stuff; not out of a deliberate attempt to make the series "morally ambiguous," but arguably because of indifference on the part of the writers.
In your opinion, what are the worst things the writers did to the characters?
