I looked at the http://grimm.wikia.com/ for the description of Monroe's father and the episodes where he apears and I found things like that:
He used the argument of "breaking the natural law" to convince Monroe to not married Rosalee. (natural law because they from different species).
Monroe's parents was described as old-fashioned...
Monroe leaves, saddened and angry about his parents living in the past.
Monroe's father tells him his "friendship" with a Grimm goes against everything they believe in...
That is why I am interpretating Monroe's father as a traditional person.
In my opinion, interspecies marriage reflects more of a prejudice than a tradition.
You may be right... But one thing doesn't necessarily exclude the other. Many prejudices have their origins in same values or ideas created in the past. In many cases traditions are used as excuses to explain, sustain and maintain those prejudices.
I am not saying that all traditions are bad… I am saying that sometimes some traditions are used for bad things.
Talking about grimm show… I think Monroe’s father is this case… He had his traditions that he used as excuse for his prejudices…
There was only one character I saw that I believed was the closest thing to a natural wesen. That was the wild girl that was found in the forest.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
