Using my great 20/20 hindsight did the character end as expected? Nick and Adalind didn't surprise me. Juliette and Nick break up didn't surprise me. At the start yes but at the end looked to me that this was the plan for the first episode.
When looking a Grimm IMO Marvel over DC is the baseline used for Grimm. We know that Superman first love was Lana and then Lois, so even that tracks the Gimm line, Marvel on the other hand all the girlfriends of the superhero are killed off, as again IMO they did to Juliette who really was Eve.
The other characters didn't change much, we alway knew that Monroe and Rosalee would make it.
Diana was the one card not set as to how she would go as Sean or Adalind? Sean if she had when with dad Sean would have used her for his gain, so the to stop this again with the 20/20 Mom Kelly was the key so the Diana.
As for Nick and Juliette/Eve ever getting back together was never going to happen , because of her and Kenneth killing Kelly, something Nick can never forget. Now we have always had the debate on what she knew and what she didn't know about what Kenneth planned, and not likely any on the forum will now change they mind on how they see this some she knew some she didn't know. So no reason to going back into that debate.
I would say over all with the great 20/20 hindsight the series as I expected it maybe a small here and there change but not the over all ending.
