But the crime of rape or sexual assault requires the use of some form of coercion, i.e., force, threat of force, drugs, impersonating a LEO, etc., or sex with someone legally incapable of consent. Making false promises of marriage, gifts or pretending to be someone else to trick a legally competent person over the age of consent into willingly jumping into bed with you may be a dirty trick, but being a dirty trick doesn't automatically make it a crime.
Oops, sorry, I should read my own links. I got Nevada confused with Oregon. Two of my old stomping grounds back in the days when I had a life and was an avid downhill skier. At this stage of my life, all them western states look alike. So as for legal prostitution in Oregon, in the infamos words of Emily Litella (Gilda Radner) from Saturday Night Live, "Never Mind"!
You know you are OLD, when you see the Slide Ruler you used in college selling in an ANTIQUE SHOP!!
