Just out of curiosity...

The Grimm spinoff will be a late night talk show. A Grimm will host and the wesen will be the guests. Tune in to see who makes it out alive.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the sketches and surprise audience participation.

Breaking News. FYI, This thread is a sub-topic of the TV News Category.

Clearly someone didn't get the memo.

In all honesty, it's kinda hard to have a ton of discussion since the only thing we know about it is they're making plans for one. There's no synopsis so I would expect to see a bunch of variations of "I'm excited/looking forward to it" instead of pages and pages of discussion. That will come when it's made official and more info about the premise and characters is released. We can all speculate about the approach the show may take but there's a reason this thread became stagnant over the last couple of days.

I suspect this thread will be flooded once news of anyone being cast is made public.

Beep, beep, beep, beep. More Breaking News. I will take the blame for the drift off. Sometimes you can only beat a dead horse to death so much, it gets boring.

If the new series follows the same path as the original and is shot "on location," the local city's film office might have word even before the cast is set.

I am taking bets on when the new series does get developed and if it takes off, I bet some contributors will still be making up scenes, dialogue and deny actual scenes and actual dialogue and claim it as an opinion. Maybe one other will be re-explaining, the writers intent, to the rest of us commoners.

Oops, I think my sys-crash-ed

Coming out of "Grimm retirement" to respond to this post. Heck, no to Trubel or a should be dead Juliette EVER being back on this show. Otherwise, I would cast teen Kelly, Marie and the non Grimm brother in a prequel for at least six seasons that will lead up to 2011 "Grimm" with Nick/DG and then another show that jumps ahead to "Kelly", Diana and triplets as young twenty-somethings .....

I think it unlikely that the new show will be set more than five years or so after the end of the previous one. Because it will still have to be shot in the present day.

I can see a Truble based Grimm set in another city. There wouldn't need to rehire the old cast and instead get a lot of hungry actors and actresses--cheaper. Members of the old cast could show up as guest stars during quite times in their own schedules--some have more than others. Most cities are happy to host TV shows, especially if a lot of tourist friendly exterior shots are done. New grimms, new wessen could be created, maybe distant relatives of the current characters. Josh might have found his own Grimmness.

I also hope it's like that, because some of the actors are already busy with other jobs.
