I know it was a showcase for Eve, but Nick should not have been caught unaware having been in a similar situation not so long ago.No he shouldn't. None of them should just have walked into a trap. They had a plan the time they went up against the wesenrein. Where was one on this occasion?
In 5.07 Nick , Hank and Trubel are in the car and Nick says 'Ican't arrest him'. Trubel says 'Thanks , that's all I need to know'.
There I am watching, thinking why's Hank even in the car, let alone telling Trubel she just can't go in there and kill a guy. Being wanted in connection with two murders is a reason to arrest someone. Hank doesn't even call Nick on that. Grimm set out as a police procedural. I struggle to identify what it is right now. Don't tell me 'reboot' as if that explains everything. It doesn't justify getting the procedure wrong.
