I get your meaning about how much happier and prepared she would have been growing up with a Grimm family. My point was that her biological parents were murdered, or had to go underground like Kelly.
It may have been to dangerous to leave her connected to anything Grimm. To likely she would be found.
I also hope they reveal more about her origins. Still think she is probably related to Nick. Not a sister, but a first or second cousin.
I hope you're right on all counts.
It would probably go a long way to helping Trubel heal if she learned that her parents either died trying to protect her or simply died and were therefore unable to protect her.
Grimm actually bears a freakish resemblance to a manga called "Sex Pistols". In it there is a character whose parents hypnotize their son to make him forget that he's actually a madara, which is a lot like being a wesen (he's technically a heavy seed wolf), because they are dying. They then send him away to be raised by another normal family so he won't have to deal with all the trauma that goes along with being a rare madara.
Reminds me of Trubel in a lot of ways. The big difference is he isn't expected to kill anyone, so he doesn't have that burden.
A lot of people here see similarities between Harry Potter and Grimm.
I must admit I've never gotten that connection, but that's the fun of reading posts on the forum.
Are your sure Trubel is Harry Potter and not Nick?
Maybe we'll find out Trubel is like Hermione, born to regular non-grimm parents, but still a super powerful grimm.
More importantly, in your analogy who do you think is closest to Voldemort?
I don't know if I can see Nick as Neville Longbottom, maybe Wu, but not Nick.
Though, I can definitely see Renard as Professor Snape. The Captain certainly has the whole good and evil trapped in one body thing going on.
I guess part of the reason I have trouble seeing the Harry Potter connection in general is that they seem to be missing both a Voldemort and a Dumbledore. Unless Meisner is Dumbledore, but that doesn't quite fit for me either.
Then again, as you suggest, maybe we just haven't met Dumbledore and Voldemort yet.
