My surname is Leone, Plural is Leoni and both surname exist.Here is the difference. Blutdaben is a species of wesen. Leoni is not a species it is a surname. Even though both could be referred to as a family, it does not make both surnames.

He is a vegan, which goes against all what his particular species behavior. If the crest was to represent all the Blutbaden, he would have not been so proud of it as to share with RosaleeBy your logic, you can not be proud of any group that you object to some of their actions. So if you object to things the United States has done, does that mean you can not be a proud american.
But the biggest argument for Blutbaden not being a surname, is because it is a species of wesen.
And just like my surname Leone translates, lion a species of cat and the Wesen species. See if your intellect can figure out which Wesen. Leoni translates into lions, a plural form of the same cat. My last name is also a surname and a species of cats like the king of the jungle just like I am the king of this argument!
According to your logic a Wesen Lowen could not have my last name or the German version surname Lowen. The Wesen exists on the show and the name exist in the real world. Figure it out.

It just came to me. Some contributor signs off with this line;
" Don't be afraid to be different. Be afraid of being the same as everyone else"
I can finally apply it to make some sense.
