How can I make this simple and not be insulting but I will try. I do agree on the death of Juliette was handled beyond poorly. IMO, idiotic but not because she died. Because she did not die. Her personality died but not the character. So, there is no "death of Juliette".
Then the Juliette sympathizers go on to claim the Nick character fault for not calling her friends and relatives about her death. First of all, why did it fall on Nick to do the notifications. She walked out on him. Destroyed his property. Assisted in getting his mother killed with some cannon fodder neighbors and tried to kill him. In the end, he had no proof of her death. That kind of frees up of his responsibility to do anything for her. Should he have been more involved and buried her? Maybe, if he had a corpse to bury.
As for all the other questions about Nick selling his home, moving in the fome with Adalind and her driving Juliette's car? Well that did not happen the day after she walked out of the house. When Nick hands off the keys to Adalind, it was weeks, if not months, after the presumed death of Juliette, based on Kelly's growth. Kelly was not on a growth spur like Diana. It was even longer from the time she started to change. It was Juliette that left Nick, broke away from her friends and quit her job.
I will admit, the Juliette character became more of a focal point in her supporting role of the main character but some still are in denial that she was NOT the main character. This is why her background has so many holes or incomplete. The show centered on Nick, not Juliette.
So, how did the bashing of the writers become the bashing of the character. The character did was what the writers wrote. As for the writers intent, they knew they did not kill off the character and were planning of bringing her back. Some just need to face the fact that we were fooled. Key word "WE".
I do agree how they wrote this whole scenario started the beginning of the end of the series. Not because they made it look as if she was killed off but because she was brought back.
