His personal life was none of her business. After Adalind left and Nick wanted to go after Renard to get his son back she told him he was being to emotional and so to do nothing (just hours after telling him she'd protect Kelly) and he shut her down with that "easy for you to say, he's not your son" and she looked stricken by the retort. Eve was stepping out of line more and more and it wasn't pretty to watch.(10-09-2017, 04:00 AM)Devegs Wrote:Quote:AS for Diana being stronger the Eve...
Diana was scripted as having destiny changing powers (or something like that) as declared by Kelly. This was why they had to take baby Diana in order to ensure that her power would be shaped for good. Eve also acknowledged Diana's immense powers when talking to Nick about Diana being able to see the writings that no one else could see on the cloth while in the tunnel. She referenced what mama Kelly had told them about Diana's powers. Diana did not have to go out on any assassination/field missions that necessitated taking a number of people down during the show.

I do recall thinking during S5 that it seemed like the writer's liked to insert some Eve moments or interruptions during or right after a N&A moment to create the faux triangle.
Yep, I found it extremely annoying. She came across as jealous about the relationship between Nick and Adalind instead of being just mainly concerned about the mission. Eve was the cold, calculating, emotionless side of Juliette, there shouldn't have been any hint of a triangle at all.
Also, JuliEve was overstepping the lines when she told Nick she was going to help with Kelly and then warned him off Adalind because she couldn't be trusted. After knowing what Juliette tried to do to Kelly, JuliEve then proclaims she can somehow protect Nick's son and then a minute after, she badmouths Kelly's mother? If I was Nick, I'd have told her to back off because it wasn't any of her business, and she had no right to say something like that after everything she'd done in the past.

I just felt some of it, and it felt like... grabbing hold of a lightning bolt." And she didn't look unaffected when she said that. She felt pain when Diana was yelling "You're not my mommy".
Thanks for putting up actual script.
Juliette was super powered so it's really funny that she has to be built up to more that she actually was when that was already enough. Changing the narrative only makes other posters want to counter the OP and only does more to downplay Juliette's role in the show instead of hyping her up as OP intended to do.
