Technically he was still keeping secrets about his Grimm and personal life, and wanting to marry someone while keeping secrets doesn’t make sense. Is that when Juliette learned Nick’s mother was alive or did she already know?(09-01-2017, 06:52 AM)Robyn Wrote: Did Juliette continue to suspect Nick once he stopped deceiving her?YES, she did, as posted on the first post of this thread. S3, E5, El Cucuy. As Juliette checks Nicks emails for his medical test results, she reads an email from his mom signed off as “Love M”. She was very suspicious.
Juliette’s suspicions of Nick weren’t necessarily unreasonable, but the writers ultimately created an emotionally unhealthy character and relationship by making Juliette suspicious of Nick while not having her respond in a way that ended the relationship until she was satisfied Nick would stop keeping things from her.
While I think Nick was wrong not to be completely honest with Juliette, she accepted his reasoning and remained in the relationship. So in that regard, Juliette only had herself to blame if the relationship wasn’t sufficiently fulfilling. She shouldn’t have accepted Nick’s first deception without insisting on total honesty moving forward. The second time should have sent one of them packing, at least temporarily.
