The times Juliette suspected Nick of infidelity. - dicappatore - 08-31-2017

Some of the treads have touched into this topic. I figured, why not start a thread on the subject?

Two instances I can think of where she suspected him of infidelity are;

S1, E22, Woman in Black. When Juliette tells Nick that Adalind’s cat scratched her, he flips out and Juliette asks him if he had some kind of relationship with her (Adalind).

S3, E5, El Cucuy. As Juliette checks Nicks emails for his medical test results, she reads an email from his mom signed off as “Love M”. She was very suspicious.

I don’t know for sure if there were any other incidents, beside when Nick and Juliette figure out that, Adalind shags Nick as Juliette. Any one recall any other instances, his fidelity was questioned by Juliette. Please add your comments.

1×14-Emplumed serpent-.
The unbelievable story that " she had beaten him" - the fire dancer- and Nick's apologies.

Brandon is correct:
1.14, "Plumed Serpent" excerpt:
Quote:When Nick goes to question Ariel, she immediately notices that he is a Grimm. She also tries to make unwelcome advances towards Nick. She says she has been out of contact with her father for several years and does not know where he lives. After Fred Eberhart's wife died, Fred fell apart-he blamed himself for his wife's death. Nick gives her his phone number in case she gets any more information on her dad. Still suspicious, Nick follows her home.
At Ariel's house, Nick hears her coughing, so he goes to the side of the house to investigate. She suddenly appears and tackles Nick to the ground, ripping open his shirt. Ariel starts kissing Nick just as his phone starts ringing. The tackle made it come out of Nick's pocket. Ariel answers the phone with Juliette on the other end. She makes it seem to Juliette like Nick is cheating on her. Nick angrily snatches the phone from Ariel and starts to explain to Juliette; but she hangs up angrily. Nick then leaves despite Ariel's pleas to stay.
Back at the house, Nick explains the whole situation to Juliette. He says that he met Ariel when following up on a case involving her father. He went to her house to talk with her about her dad, that is when she assaulted him. Nick did not arrest her because she is the only person who knows anything about her dad. His phone was dislodged from his pocket when Nick was tackled. Juliette then believes Nick that it was an accident. Ariel appears and sprays the fluid on a window in Nick's house and draws a broken heart. Later that night, Ariel visits her father and tells him she's found someone that will make him better.
The final part is interesting:
Quote:While Juliette is talking to Nick, he has a flashback about what his Aunt Marie said relating to Juliette-"I know you love Juliette, but you have to end it and never see her again." He is starting to realize that what Marie said is starting to come true. As Juliette states that she is glad Ariel is dead, Ariel is seen leaving the cave where she was thought to have died.
He should have listened to Aunt Marie.

RE: The times Juliette suspected Nick of infidelity. - New Guy - 08-31-2017

Hi Forum,
Three instances of Juliette wrongly accusing Nick of infidelity have been cited. Did she ever apologize to him?
Juliette had cat scratch fever for Renard and had sex with Renard and Kenneth. She left his bed a mess for him to know she was with Kenneth. Then Kenneth told him of the romp. Did Nick ever accuse her of infidelity?
In the final moments of her life she spoke about love, then tried to kill him.
IMO, she knew Nick truly loved her and used him to get free rent. In the end she used his love to make killing him more painful. Her false accusations of infidelity were likely part of her tools to hurt Nick.

I thought Juliette had money of her own? Wasn't she already living independently and working when she met Nick?

Well wesen, we don’t know too much about that. There is a scene early on in a supermarket when they both talk about their previous relationships. I did de-bunk, what some posters claimed, using flashbacks that Nick and Juliette moved in the house at the same time. Instead of him moving in with her. Check out my post under "Spoilers" and "The House".

She worked as an employed Vet, but she did not own the practice, so, based on how she was well dressed, she probably spent all her disposable income. It looked like she was living paycheck to paycheck and probably sharing expenses with Nick Later on we find out that Nick owned the house.

Nick became a Grimm in the pilot, but the show presented Nick and Juliette as normal people living a normal life and on the cusp of entering a normal marriage prior to the pilot episode. It’s not unusual that Juliette would suspect Nick was cheating if he’d never been secretive and evasive before. She’s certainly not going to speculate that her boyfriend had become a mystical warrior fighting against mystical animal like entities.

In comparison, Adalind was not only a part of the mystical world that Juliette couldn’t have comprehended, Renard had never been loyal to her or anyone else. So Renard being secretive and evasive would have been par for the course.

I don’t understand how the number of times Juliette suspected Nick has any value. Did Juliette continue to suspect Nick once he stopped deceiving her?

YES, she did, as posted on the first post of this thread. S3, E5, El Cucuy. As Juliette checks Nicks emails for his medical test results, she reads an email from his mom signed off as “Love M”. She was very suspicious.

A good thread can also tie into the Adalind Nick thread in some ways. Juliette for whatever reason was insecure with Nick. Not having a background on her own family we can't see the cause of this. We seen Nick jealous but not insecure and he did have a reason in season 2, but not insecure.

Now take Adalind Juliette/Eve is staying in the fome but we don't see her being insecure so can we take away the point she knows and has total trust in Nick. We also have a scene where Adalind and Nick talk about this living arrangement showing Nick is taking Adalind feeling into account. We do know some of Adalind background so we could understand her if she was somewhat insecure, with her dad leaving at age 4.
