Quote:I never wanted Sean's head in a box although I wanted some sort of comeuppance for him. I was really disappointed when he started proselytizing for BC. Not only are they pulling your strings but also you drank the kool aid. Wth Sean!
I would have loved to see him as the mastermind who go outsmarted but then worked up a scheme to make BC pay by working with Nick to pull a cliffhanger at the end of S5.
From your mouth to TPB’s ear. And not having a plan to take out Bonaparte and take over Portland BC as well as an exit plan should things go south was completely out of character. It would have made much more sense to me if Renard had used Adalind to his benefit, intending to throw her under the bus to protect his ‘alliance’ with Nick or BC as necessary. Not only would duping Adalind into providing Nick with intel specifically designed to enhance his advantage been beneficial to his objective, it would have allowed him to again cast blame on her and away from himself, while maintaining his core characterization.
But Renard believed he might actually convince Nick to join BC when he should have been tricking Nick into believing he was working against BC from the inside until it was too late for Team Grimm to interfere.
Renard wouldn't drink Kool-Aid or cower to Bonaparte. The S5 - S6 Renard was painful to watch.
