I never wanted Sean's head in a box although I wanted some sort of comeuppance for him. I was really disappointed when he started proselytizing for BC. Not only are they pulling your strings but also you drank the kool aid. Wth Sean!
I would have loved to see him as the mastermind who go outsmarted but then worked up a scheme to make BC pay by working with Nick to pull a cliffhanger at the end of S5.

At least we see that it's not all one big happy family because it shouldn't be.
I kinda laughed at the finale where Nick was making his speech about being so glad to have everyone he loved to be alive and to back there with him, then says to Renard "Even you." Clearly the mistrust/tension between them won't be resolved any time soon even after the show has ended.
I liked that line too, "Even you". LOL. At least it showed that although Nick had not wanted Sean dead, they weren't suddenly chums.
Diana was such a wild card but I believe she had already been established to have a good relationship with Nick. The blended family already appeared stable by the Blind Love episode where we see Diana having the goodbye exchange with Nick. Diana 'saved' Nick by opening the mirror because he made her mommy happy and that probably was what made him a good guy in her eyes. Seeing that Stepdad Nick really did not wish her father dead would just be the icing on the cake for her, I would think. Adalind probably didn't care much about Sean aside from him co-parenting their child.
Yeah, and by the time Nick makes his speech at the end, Diana also knew that Nick was someone she could rely on because he would do anything to protect her and save all of the people she cared about. They also now share a bond because she and Nick are the only ones who can remember what happened in the alternate universe.
