She only refused to accept it once and with good reason. Nick was holding things back from her. I don't recall Nick denying it when she confronted him. Surely if he felt she was accusing him falsely, he would have confronted her.

Well then we differ. I found plenty of evidence to support that both of them wanted a normal life and tried very much to live it. They didn't decide to hermit in a cave somewhere. And keep in mind it wasn't Nick who was thinking of moving. It was Monroe who put the idea in his head.
