Mary: Nick told Monroe it was an issue. Did you read the quotes? One quote was Nick was thinking of having no grimm powers and moving away from Portland before having kids with Juliette.
wiki below
Monroe: [He pours wine] Yeah, well, the spell of a Hexenbiest does tend to put a damper on the good times.
Nick: So does being a Grimm.
Monroe: Wow. Okay. You having a little down time?
Nick: I'm sorry, I'm just trying to figure this all out.
Monroe: Dude, come on. It's a big decision.
Nick: I don't know. You know, I just don't want Juliette to constantly have to worry about something bad happening to me, or to her, or to one of our friends.
Monroe: And?
Nick: And the thought of... just packing it up, moving someplace new, starting a family-that's very appealing.
Monroe: Hey, man, if that's what you want to do, do it. No regrets.
Nick: The problem is... I like being a Grimm, Monroe.

Adalind brings up Juliette having a child. Nick says Juliette and him gave up a "normal" life (children as part of it) for him to become a grimm again.
Another wiki quote: Adalind tells Nick she wishes there was more she could do to help him. She also says, "I wish that having this baby had been our choice. I can't help but wonder if you think this should have been Juliette's child, not mine." Nick says he and Juliette had a chance at a normal life after he lost his Grimm powers, but they didn't take it.

Mary: In both Octopus_Head and The_Last_Fight, mentions that Juliette wants to wait on finding the "cure" for Nick so Nick and Juliette can give having a normal life a chance.

wiki: Juliette arrives at the spice shop and asks Monroe and Rosalee if they can talk. She tells them she doesn't think they should be in such a hurry to fix everything because Nick being a Grimm hasn't been the greatest thing for her or Nick. She tells them that Nick also isn't positive he wants to be a Grimm again. She says that maybe they should leave it alone for a little awhile since it will give her and Nick a chance for a normal life.

wiki:At their home, Monroe and Rosalee talk to Hank about Juliette struggling with the whole finding a cure for Nick thing. They tell him that Juliette even suggested that not finding a cure would be the only way for her and Nick to have a normal life

Juliette says one of the reasons part of her wants to stay a hexenbiest is to be special like Nick is special. Juliette also says "Grimm and a Hexenbiest are just gonna live happily ever after?". This suggests to me that Nick being a grimm was part of the issue that was holding them back becoming a normal couple with children.

Scene: Nick goes to see Juliette in jail.
....
Nick: Juliette, you're not even giving us a chance to figure this out.
Juliette: What do you want to figure out, Nick? How a Grimm and a Hexenbiest are just gonna live happily ever after?
Nick: You don't scare me. And I'm not letting go.
Juliette: Aren't you scared of what you might do to me?
Nick: I could never hurt you, Juliette.
Juliette: I wish I could say the same. But I just don't know anymore, because deep down, I do blame you for what's happened to me, and part of me loves you for it, because I have never felt like this before. It's ironic, isn't it? You've been the special one for so long. You're connected to a world that most people will never know or understand. And now I know and I understand, and I don't want to give it up, just like you didn't want to give it up. And now I know why. Once you're in it and you've... seen it and tasted it and... lived it, you can't go back. Everyone else just seems blind. I like this power, Nick, and I know you do too.
