Question to the Nadalind give us some reasonable points why they falling in love with each other? Please explain it without involving baby Kelly.
For me is Adalind just the runner-up but maybe you can explain it - and I can understand it differently.
Everyone knows Nick and Adalind lived together because of Kelly. Nobody is disputing it.
However, Kelly is not the reason they fell in love. They actually fell in love despite themselves because they were hesitant to admit it and even more so to act on it. Adalind denied having feelings for Nick to Trubel and he denied his feelings to Monroe at first. In actuality, they probably wanted to bang each other in "Eve of Destruction" but Adalind cut it short and who knows what would've happened had Trubel not shown up at that moment.
Nick and Adalind didn't start a relationship for Kelly's sake. Neither expected or even wanted anything of the sort when they moved in together. It wasn't until they got to know each other on a personal lever that that became a possibility.
As far as Adalind being the runner-up, I'm not getting into that again because this has been mentioned several times already. It'll probably come up again next week too.
I'll use a different story to address the runner-up comment. Peter Parker's first love was Gwen Stacy. Her death is one of the most tragic events in superhero history. Peter clearly loved her and him being Spider-Man is the reason she was targeted for death similar to how Nick being a Grimm led to Juliette becoming a Hexenbiest and nearly causing her death though that's not all on Nick like Peter isn't to blame for his villains being assholes. Peter would go on to date and eventually marry Mary Jane Watson. They make up one of the most famous couples in all of superhero media. I don't know if they would be together if Gwen had not died. Would it be fair to label Mary Jane the runner-up in this situation?
I appreciate the Spider-Man analogy. Though I've got to resist the urge to lament the way the comics have screwed up Peter and MJ's relationship in recent years. But the comparison is apt, because I hate this notion of it being a competition. They never even implied a love triangle. Anybody who goes back and watches the last two seasons, can see that the writers were pretty clear on their intent to focus on Nick and Adalind. By their own admission, they never considered the notion of Nick going back to Eve. Just because Adalind occurred second in Nick's life, doesn't make her second in his heart. By the time we jump twenty years into the future, Nick and Adalind have been together, at least twice as long as he ever was with Juliette. How would that make her a runner-up?
