Kelly and Diana cannot escape who and what they are even if Nick and Adalind decide to hide them away in the middle of nowhere, away from society. Kelly is a Grimm, he'd most likely be compelled to pursue that to whatever end that suits him it doesn't matter what his parents say. Diana is a super powered hexenbiest, her life was already beyond regular and considering how the first few years of her life are marked with violence and death (which had very little influence from Adalind), we've seen that at the very least Adalind wants Diana to curb her more unpredictable, violent tendencies and is/was trying raise her in a loving environment will have gone a long way in making sure Diana doesn't grow up to become a sociopath. Being raised alongside Kelly has probably redirected her powers so they are used more responsibly.
Adalind and Nick aren't perfect, whatever their mistakes, they don't preclude them trying to give their children the the best upbringing they can that they themselves never had, having learnt from their own past.
And if only "good" people were allowed to have children, who would be the judge of their so called goodness? And are reformed people exempt from having children just because they had a "bad" past?

Nick and Adalind's experiences are in a supernatural world that has three kinds of humanoid species governed by laws of nature that can't be applied in the real world. I can't apply my views even if they were a real life couple because the world in which they live doesn't exist. I try to keep real life separate from what I watch on screen because the two worlds aren't compatible. I can't judge how real life people live their lives I can only hope that if and when they have children, that those kids are loved, protected and raised to be responsible members of society in whatever capacity availed to them and that's not even considering the fact that the world is a complex tapestry of culture, beliefs and tradition, what applies to one may not apply to another as we have seen on the show with episodes like "Blood Magic".(04-20-2017, 05:19 AM)irukandji Wrote: They're not righteous and they never will be righteous people, izzy. They're twisted and have visited their twisted notions on their children. I suspect neither Diana or Kelly knows anything other than what those two have filled their heads with regarding the Grimm lifestyle. Those children and probably Monroe's children as well have no positive outcomes other than murdering those who they believe are wrong.
You are quite correct but my comments were not aimed at the pretend couple Nick and Adalind so much as flesh and blood real people who think these folks, were they a real life couple, should reproduce and raise children.
