This is not really directed at anyone, I was reading the post and thought I would bring it up.
Adalind not only planned on selling Diana, she also threated to abort the baby if she did not get what she wanted, which of course was her hexenbiest.
Juliette threatened Adalind and Kelly, there is no doubt about that. However, because Adalind decided to mother her baby, the horror at her threat of abortion and plan to sell the baby are forgotten.
Juliette's attack on Adalind and Kelly, is however, not forgotten, even though Juliette backed off and never threatened Adalind or her baby again.
It just seems so strange to me that because Adalind made the decision to become a mother and keep the baby, all is forgotten with her. Yet, the argument about Juliette storming into the precinct and threatening Adalind and her baby still continues to surface.
Juliette killing Adalind and thus killing Kelly while in utero is in fact a crime. She never showed any remorse or regret after that. She had to be lobotomised to stop her violent streak. She had every intention kill Adalind but her timing was off and Kelly as collateral was no issue because she didn't see him as innocent in any way.
The two situations are different.
No, I don't agree. Adalind threatened to abort her baby if she didn't get a hexenbiest as she demanded. I have no doubt she would have killed the baby had she not gotten her way. She also intended to sell the baby. However, she did neither of those things.
Juliette intended on killing Adalind and baby Kelly, of that I have no doubt. However, she did not. Nor did she ever threaten Adalind or Kelly again.
Intent was there with both women. But the atrocities one planned on committing are forgotten because she decided to keep the baby. The other's atrocities are not forgotten even though she never threatened Adalind again.
The difference between the two women is that Juliette saw nothing wrong with her actions, only regretting not finishing the job. HW lobotomised, turned her emotions off because she was a violent and deranged hexenbiest that was bent on destroying Nick and all those connected to him, to the point of killing them. The magic stick scrambled her brain once more and made her a little more human and not the killing machine we knew and she's still detached from her actions as Hexenette, not seeing them as being done by her but by another (no regret, no remorse).
Adalind has regretted every bad decision she made while pregnant with Diana, from selling her for her powers and every that happened thereafter, everything except Kelly being born. It has affected every decision she's made since being pregnant with Kelly because she knows how selfish and shallow and vindictive she was. It had cost her her daughter and she didn't want to lose her son as a result, so she did what she had to do for Kelly's sake, even when it meant humbling herself to those who hated her and could have killed her because of her past actions.
