Juliette felt that child was Evil, a curse and because the child belonged to Nick with Adalind and that mostly seemed to have blown her mind away. After all it was Kenneth who added flame into the frying pan, that Juliette went crazy after he pushed the right button.
Yes, Nick said the child was innocent and Juliette said no child of hers is innocent. He never defended Adalind, but Juliette took it as that because he wouldn't let her kill Adalind in a police station with witnesses. He was protecting the baby and Juliette.
He wasn't protecting Juliette. He took Adalind's part and made it plain to Juliette that he was taking Adalind's part. Nick was stupid and because of his stupidity, things escalated out of hand.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
