It was sheer dumb luck that he happened to be holding it when Monroe passed out and he helped him up. Yes, it didn't require much knowledge for him to repeat what he'd seen happen once. But he had to see it happen first.
The whole entire Z story arc was one of the characters "not knowing how to make it work"...............on anything.
It was as though the creative team bumped heads and repeated over and over, "and we'll add this, and we'll add this, and we'll add this, and we'll add this............"
I don't question Nick stabbing Z with the stick and turning back time. In my view, that was the most logical ending to of all the craziness that erupted in the saga of Z.
Nick didn’t knownly turn back time it’s fact we all know it even you.
If he didn’t know the shard would heal when he first had it how would he knew the staff would reverse time within minutes of him picking it up despite him never seeing it reverse time before, it makes no logical sense whatsoever.
The only way your theroy works is if the staff picked up on Nicks subconscious wish to have his friends back then reversed time accordingly to his subconscious, beacuse we all seen Nick fighting against being dragged in to the portal, multiple posters have brought up that point no just me. This also match’s more in line with what the writers said about Zerstoerers death causing a reset.
