That's not what Nick said.
He said, "If it can work for you, it can work for them".
Yes who brought Trubel back using the stick the Easter bunny no Zerstorer and did he use a portal no he revived he.
Nick was talking to Trubel. He was telling her, "If the stick can work for you, it can work for them".
Yes and it’s worked by reviving her, not once was it even remotely hinted Nick knew it had the power to reset time it never once showed that power before.
No, it was never shown to have that power. But I don't get your point. You could argue that when Nick first stole the shard, he didn't know what powers it had. You could argue that even after the shard exhibited power, Nick still didn't know all that it could do. Okay, so what?
The point is, he wanted his friends back and the only way to get them back was to go back to a point in time where they were all alive. Nick never stated that was his intention, but I'm really surprised at you. It's usually me who's referring to him as a doofus. You're acting like he's so stupid he can't think of a way to unite all of his friends, alive and well.
Instead you want to plout out some dumb theory that the stick figured out exactly what to do because Nick could not.
The only power Nick has seen capable of bringing his friends back is Zerstorer reviving Trubel with the staff and that is clearly how he is planning on bringing his friends back he tells Trubel this by saying it worked for you.
Yet you making some radom claim that has no backing whatsoever considering Nick was fighting tooth and nail for to not be dragged through the portal and is total shocked everyone is alive again is just hogwash.
The spilinter never even showed the ability to reset time yet you would have us believe within minutes of possessing the staff Nick suddenly knows it can.
Zorstorer dying and the stick resetting things for Nick itself because of what his subconscious wants makes ten times more sense and is backed up by the writers so how exactly is that a lame theory.
