Sean and Adalind where and are always showed to have some kind of plan going on. They are bot very calculating. That is why I don't see Nick and Adalind being the end game. That is also why I think the show removed the scenes that show a real closeness between Nick and Adalind. They where not needed to explain why Adalind was now accepted in the group.
Except for season 2, Adalind was not involved in planning. Adalind tended to follow who she was with without question including Nick. Nick and Sean are both likely to die. Nick could be transformed to. Neither Eve or Adalind are likely part of Nick's end game. In order to have hope for future, after the time jump, Adalind has a large role as part of the end game as mother of Diana and Kelly. Of course, after the time jump, Eve could be a superhero as part of the future end game too.
David G would prefer to have his character die.
My view is the last show is called 'The End' and at the very least it is the end of Nick being an active Grimm in Portland.
If given the opportunity, both Nick and Renard would want keep their connection to their own child and have Adalind, the mom, as part of both children's lives. I am expecting Nick and Eve will have both a good working relationship and friendship again before the end of season 6. Except for the possible time jump, season 6 is only 6 weeks so there is a limit to what happens.
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.
