Quote:Kelly had ulterior motives, cajoling Adalind into believing she was on Adalind's side when in truth she believed Diana was better off without her mother or father. Adalind was right not to trust her implicitly. When did separating a child from its mother give more rights to the kidnappers?Where does it imply that Kelly thought Diana was better off not to be with Adalind, before Adalind ran off and Viktor threatened to kill them. So in your opinion it is better to have left Diana with Adalind and Sean even if it meant a bullet to their head. So it was a mistake for Nick and Kelly to step in at Sean apartment.
Quote:choosing to keep her daughter rather than hand her over to child traffickers after the mistake of selling her is something I won't fault her in. She had made a horrible mistake and tried to right it as best as someone like her was capable. How did Adalind try and right her mistake. If not for Sean, Adalind had no intention on leaving the castle.
Quote:You want Adalind to have been the perfect mother from the get go but for that to happen Adalind would need to be perfect herself, immune from making mistakes at every turn, but she wasn't and she learning on the fly to try and make better choices for her childrenWhat Adalind did was far from making a mistake or something she had to learn. What she did is not something she can take back. She was not tricked into selling her child. or bribed into selling her child. She intentional got pregnant from Sean because of his Royal blood. For the sole purpose of selling the child. That is not a mistake.
Quote:choosing to keep her daughter rather than hand her over to child traffickers after the mistake of selling her is something I won't fault her in.The traffickers did not seek out Adalind child. Adalind put the child on the market. It was not even traffickers that wanted the child. It was Diana grandfather that wanted the child raised in the castle only because the child had royal blood.
Quote:Diana is rare as the daughter of a hexenbiest and Zauberbiest on top of heighten hexenbiest powersDiana is not rare because her parents and hexenbiest and zauberbiest. That would make Adalind, Elizabeth rare. They are from hexenbiest and zauberbiest parents. Diana is only valuable because Adalind choose to procreate with royal blood. The thing that makes her rare and powerful is what Adalind did to her. A process done to restore Adalinds powers. Adalind did not give one minute of consideration what it would do to her child. Just like she did not consider what the suppressant would do to Kelly.
Unlike the suppressant what Adalind did to Diana has permanently condemned Diana to a early death and a life of constantly being on the run. At the rate Diana is growing by the time she is 12 she will be an old lady. I doubt if Diana will even see her 18 birthday. How can Adalind ever make that right. That is not a learning lesson. You said "the mistake of selling her is something I won't fault her in" do you fault her for Diana short life. How about Diana will never find love or have kids. How about that Diana has never had a child hood. We have yet to see how Adalind getting pregnant while under the spell and then taking the suppressant will effect Kelly. So for every spell seems to have a side effect. So far Adalind has had two kids both she has subjected to potions meant for her own benefit. If you say Adalind changed and learned after Diana. Then how do you explain subjecting Kelly to the suppressant. If alcohol causes fetal damage, what damage would the suppressant cause. We saw the effects where very violent.
Nick agreed and even helped Adalind with the suppressant knowing that Adalind was carrying his child. So how much concern did he have for his unborn child. In the police station he choose to protect his child over Juliette. With the suppressant he choose to help Juliette over his child. How would Nick have thought the suppressant was completely safe. Not one potion that Adalind has made did not have some side effect. Did he even consider it could suppress the childs growth or other aspect of the child.
