If they where using sex for rating or to be funny. I would have been incorporated into a joke. If for rating they what have made it more titillating. Instead each time it become a piece of an ironic set of circumstances. And irony that only exist because of how each individual act is perceived. The irony depends on the views people see in the relationships with each of the characters. The irony was summed up by Kelly with her comment about Adalind getting around. Yet taking an objective view of each of Adalind encounters. the irony no longer exist. Take Hank reaction and statements when finding out Diana was not his. Now compare Nick is actually going through what Hank thought he was in for. The sex was not there for the sake of sex. It was there because that was the only way the irony would work. What other action other then sex could create the same kind response.
The question then becomes are the limitations constraints by the writers. or are they dictated by standards and practices. Grimm is on national TV so there are still limits. Unlike the shows that are on cable. Even Bitsie commented on how much they had to sensor during the sex and nude scenes. Because of standards and practices insinuating rape would not be allowed. That is why the show expressed trickery and consent.
Quote:There's no way a scene with Rachael sleeping with let's say Meisner being morphed into Renard would've been allowed. That is a really provocative question. Because the show made it a point to insure the audience know Nick and Juliette where broken up before Juliette sleep with Sean and then Kenneth. I would agree that they would not Morph a male into Renard. The other thing that make me side with your point is the show left it ambiguous as to Eve being able to complete the act. We are going to have Nick as Sean. Lets see if they put the fake Sean with Adalind. He might do this to prove Adalind intent for leaving. I bet if they do it would go no farther then the fake Sean trying to kiss her.
