However, I don't think there's any correlation between what goes on in Grimm and cops being shot. Grimm is so unrealistic and is clearly a fantasy show. It's so out there that I can't really buy it has any effect on what people may do. I have a lot of issues with the writing but even I don't think it has that type of social commentary. It has things like Hitler being a Wesen but that was just pure fantasy.
I rather agree, kind of sort of, I don't single Grimm out. But I think the issue is it desensitizes people. There was a recent study (somewhere) about why outrageous lies work...essentially even if you know it is ludicrous your mind processes it and stores it without the detail, later on when something triggers the memory you don't necessarily correlate it with B.S.
I think that is what shows do to people over time, they work at a subconscious level.
