She was tranquilized, incarcerated, beaten to a pulp, and indoctrinated to serve an incredibly shady organization, but she wasn't actually killed. The fact they clearly expected the fans to swallow this cheap gimmick hook, line and sinker smacks of shallow cleverness and audience condescension. We’ve discussed this before, Juliette being forced into a new persona called Eve was disrespectful to the character and viewers.
I could buy the idea of Juliette hiding behind the Eve persona as a means of denying her guilt, but for G&K to force the other characters to meekly accept this development, especially taking into account what Juliette DID in S4, was insulting as hell. I still get angry if I think about it for too long.
G & K might insist Juliette is dead and Eve will be experiencing emotions, but they also want to have it both ways so Nick can choose between the two women in S6. Yuck. Eve was showing feelings toward Nick before he whammied her with his stick. And while her behavior alone might have been sufficiently indistinct to question whether her concern was for Nick personally or his obligation to HW, Rosalee was written as comparing Eve’s behavior to Juliette’s.
So the show can call it what they will. If it walks like a Juliette and talks like a Juliette and reacts like a Juliette, chances are it’s a Juliette.

I asked if they were really expecting us to "get over" all of Juliette's monstrous actions, which is what Eve basically said to Nick in the episode A REPTILE DYSFUNCTION. This was their reply:Not really surprised. I doubt they care one way or another how we feel about their show. And honestly, I think those of us who want characters who are relatable and believable are in the minority.
I think that pretty much says everything.

Let's hope the writers don't suddenly drop that subplot like they've dropped other subplots in the past.I had thought the scene was expressing Nick’s interpretation of what he was seeing, and perhaps hoping was there. That would go along with how G & K do things - have Nick think he sees signs of Juliette only to realize it’s Eve whose confused by the sudden rush of emotions.
