Please provide the link where they specifically said that. I haven't yet seen anything to convince me that "Eve" is more than just a facade Juliette hides behind to disassociate herself from her guilt.
Below shows that the show creators are still calling Eve for season six. Your view that the only purpose is to hide from her guilt is still valid but no one relating to the show is calling her anything but Eve yet.
