Yes, Diana was used to lure her to join Renard for political reasons as I said, but this was just the start. Ofcourse Adalind as you said Fenced, then conrad went after her "her vunarabilty" with Kelly, "I believe that will be equal to going after Nick and his family".
2 things planned here, building a family for Renard for polital reasons and most important what no one knew then even the viewers was to use Nicks family as leverage to get back the Grimm book incase he refuses and if he goes Grimm at the mansion to get back his family. Also to possibly control him.
Quote:Even Sean was not sure how close Adalind was to Nick. Even when Adalind got to the mansion. It was Adalind that told Conrad how much Nick meant to her.
Until Nick went after Sean about Kelly. Conrad figured Nick would trade the book to get his son back. Had Adalind not taken Kelly Conrad would not have had that leverage. Plus Nick would have not gone after Sean. Adalind taking Kelly did not protect Nick it put him in danger by providing leverage.
Conrad already knew how much Adalind meant to him long before, just by taking care of their child alone I believe was enough. Do not forget they have been spying on the whole group, studying them, all those close to the Grimm.
When Nick attacked Saun and sent to Jail, yes, Conrad saw an opportunity to take and use to his advantage since he had his family.
Now for adalind to leave and take Kelly for the fear of what Conrad could do not really knowing what his real plan was, was not a selfish move from her, It was a protective move, one that would protect all 2 of who she held dearly, Nick and Kelly. She was no way close to selfish, or just doing it for her gains. Her maturity has long past that stage.
It was an interesting move, that helped buy time, understand Conrads true motives, and keep the threats less atleast to the Children for the time being.
Conrad could have taken Kelly and Adalind anytime via kidnapping at work, and killed Nick anytime. They tried to do that once when they trapped them at the ware house. But the book Nick had was his leverage too that conrad really needed which they found out later after the trap they set up for them at the ware house. Thats why Conrads plan was forced to change.
Quote:It is speculation why Conrad wanted the book. The group thought it was to eliminate Grimm's. Conrad comment indicated they could use Grimm's. It is hard to tell since Truble is a Grimm but was ignored from beng recruited or eliminated. They did create a plot to get Trubel and Eve out of HW before they killed everyone. They would only do that if they wanted them alive. Nick said they did not want to take on Eve. I am thinking Conrad wanted her alive to try and get her on his side.
HW thought so but were wrong on thier belief Black Claw wanted to destroy all things Grimm, as I said, no one really knew Conrads motives. The man just poped out from no where only later and began his plans. They did not even know conrad was the leader then.
Conrad wanted all wesens to join him, those who opposed, gets taken out.
Black claw had an idea. Wesens free, Wesens to rule. Grimms controlled by wesens to put those wesens in check who did not heed thier rules or join them or better put the Wesen's killer Elite (WKE) who are controlled by wesen. He wanted to change history, and one of them was the Grimm History, were Grimms take orders from wesens, which has never happened.
