Then the writers and show runners had to scramble around trying to downsize a big story by season's end, only to find out late in the game there was to be another 13 episodes to stretch things over. So it took on the feeling of a group centered in a small section of the US, with the goal of possibly using Portland as its center of operation to me. Should be interesting to see how they end the Grimm story, I have high hopes that most of us will get at least one important issue settled in a way that satisfies.Greenwalt said some of the episodes had to be rewritten because the storyline wasn’t working, so late in the game rewrites are possible when necessary. But I don’t think the uprising was downsized because of possible cancellation, but rather, to keep the Wesen of the week episodes that had nothing to do with the season arc and to avoid the need to delve into the specifics of BC and HW and how team Grimm fit within the scenario. Since Team Grimm didn’t actually join HW until BC brought the fight to Nick’s door (the final three episodes) the show didn’t have to be concerned with how Team Grimm would interact with this military style force.
Had all the case stories been linked to BC activity, the entire season could have been devoted to bringing the HW/Grimm/BC war to a head while also focusing on how the characters adapted to this new & different global threat and military style entity.

So impractical but I wanted to see the mighty women of Grimm infiltrate the enemy camps as spies, waylay stray soldiers or advance scouts of BC, blow up ammunition dumps, and generally hit and run, leaving behind big casualties. No worries, maybe I can design one of those virtual reality games and do it myself, haha. For a minute or two I was completely in love with you. Then cold, harsh reality hit. Aside from Trubel & Kelly as Grimms and Juliette who was first transformed into something hated and feared, has the show featured any female characters taking an active role in combat? Love, love, love your idea.
