I continue to read the comments on this thread and I have to wonder. Do people even read what they write? Do they even consider the ramifications of what they write?
The forum has been noticeably quieter over the past week, but apparently that's not good enough for some here. They feel they're being attacked, forcibly driven from the forum and over what? Because of a small number of people who happen to disagree with them over an imaginary character, and so they see themselves as having no alternative but to leave the forum.
Here's a news flash for the people who say they're considering leaving the forum. It's your own decision to leave, not someone else's.
There are complaints about hypocrisy, hostility and attacks, but I doubt anyone who types these things ever realizes that they're not even criticizing other users. They're indirectly criticizing the administrators and moderating team. The team allows for all of us to have our own opinion. They've made that as plain as they can. If someone doesn't like the opinion, they have alternatives they can take. But that's not good enough. The administrators and moderating team continue to be told indirectly and in no uncertain terms that they are allowing hostility, attacks, and hypocrisy to run rampant on the forum. They're being indirectly told it's their fault people aren't coming to the forum.
It's not true. The moderators and administrative team have worked very hard to keep this an objective forum. In the last month, they've had to work harder than ever to keep the peace. And for what? Just to be indirectly told once again that things are not perfect here. As usual, it's the same few who refuse to take responsibility for their own actions. Instead they voice the same old complaints and continue with the same old arguments that they are naturally not at fault, and so the only thing they can do is to blame others.
Kudos to the administrators and the moderating team. Regardless of what some may think, you have my respect and admiration. You deserve it!

The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
