It said "Yes man! I'll be here for at least another year!"
I'm quite sure he meant Portland.
Watch it here: https://youtu.be/dRZdzwL6G6M?t=42m54s
I've also been hearing that Grimm International reported that it was renewed for a Season 6 and now some say that was taken down too ... (this would have been yesterday for US and Monday for over the pond) soooo, he may have either spoken too soon or got his hand smacked for releasing that news too soon (hoping)
Also to JS - he (David) did a movie and was at SXSW or SWSX *lol* I can't keep all these things straight; but yes, he's been dipping his toes and testing movies and trying to break into them (small and indie mostly) as from what I've heard that is what he doesn't want - to be type-casted. I agree with you though - some think it is greener then they get out there and go, gosh, now I'm back to waiting tables and being an extra or sub-par character on another show when I had my own. If I had only cared as much about it those last two seasons or last one like I did the first three. But alas LOL
Giuntoli also had a small role in the big money flick 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, so I think he is definitely trying to get into more and bigger movies.
Honestly, I think he has the look and the acting ability to make it as a "movie star", he just need to find the right role to help him break out.
I do, however, suspect he struggles to be taken seriously because of his beginnings in those crappy MTV reality shows. (sorry if I offended any fans of Road Rules, but I despise the vast majority of reality TV shows )
If you ever want a good chuckle, watch "Nick" in his old MTV clips on youtube. They are both funny and a little surreal.
I'm guessing that keeping the cast together is another factor making it difficult to nail down another season. While some actors are probably praying they get to keep drawing an income from Grimm, others like Giuntoli, Coffee, Mitchell, Roiz and even Turner might want to move onto bigger and better things before they become too old for choice parts and/or end up type cast because people associate them too closely with Grimm.
