My dog. I swear that dog gets into everything - and buries sticks all the time

I just had to - okay, now I gotta go finish reading ... I needed a heehaw moment after seething angry thoughts re: on them possibly rehashing of last season only switching Adalind/Juleves with one another
Lol, my dog never buried anything. She ate it instead. But actually, I was serious when I posed the question.
The artifact is down in the catacombs and the knights are down in the catacombs. So if they buried the artifact, who buried them?
What makes you think the knights bodies were in the catacombs? Unless I completely missed something, there is no evidence that the knights bodies were in that catacomb.
There appeared to be some remains of people who were buried in some regalia, but no evidence as to who they were. Could have been knights, could have been wealthy churchmen, could have been local nobility. There were no signs that said: "Hey' I'm one of the 7 Grimm Knights!"
As for the catacombs, it was common practice in that era to put the remains of prominent individuals below the church itself. Obviously, the church was abandoned and fell into ruin, but the catacombs remained. Pretty simple and straight forward really.
