Grimm is a fantasy show after all and whatever was hidden probably has some sort of magical power.Using your point on the sword today we would see it like Wild Bill did with the coins something in metal of the sword. I was think something way way out here but a H-bomb into the past today we would be able to disarm it.
Back in S2, Renard mentioned several possibilities to Nick:
The sword of Muhammed,
The Holy Grail,
Parts of the True Cross, and:
The secret of alchemy.
Lets take one of these for an example. What if what was hidden is the sword of Muhammed and it gives it's wielder a charismatic influence over others as well as the mind/abilities of a supreme warlord?
How could tech affect something like that? Not saying it couldn't, but what if it cannot do so?
What do you think?
So if the object was astroid piece with some usual properties we would understand it, and possible be able to shield it. I think will be something from Rome or Egypt maybe Greece.
I did agree if 7 Grimms wanted it hidden I would leave it hidden. One thing just came to mind what if in 1203 they couldn't destroy it but we could today? Would it be better to destroy it than to use it? Should we consider that?
