Well, if Nick announced he would not hurt Juliette, he was lying. He pushed her against the wall. He then proceeded to strangle her. She was struggling to breathe. I can't speak for anyone here, but in my opinion, that's some serious harm. No doubt there would be brusing around her neck and he may have damaged her larynx.
