There's a story that did the rounds in my country a few years ago about a mother who wrestled with a crocodile in order to save her child. They lived beside a river filled with them, so this type of thing wasn't out of the ordinary if precautions weren't taken. Logically the woman was powerless to stop the animal from devouring the child but to do nothing was absolutely unacceptable for the mother so she did the impossible in order to save the child . Nick couldn't stand aside when Juliette was verbally threatening a pregnant woman who was potentially carrying his child. He's a cop, his instinct and that of a grimm is to stand between crooks, criminals, wesen who threaten innocent lives even if they were stronger than him, something that would not have been a first for Nick. If my memory serves me right mother and child survived the incident. Now imagine if she did nothing.
You want Nick to stand aside and do nothing not only because it's his girlfriend and he should somehow intuine that she will not harm Adalind but also because she's a dangerous powerful Hexenbiest that can't be stopped. Nick had been trying to get her to stop venting her anger by breaking the law, why stop now at the station? Remember why Juliette was at the station in the first place and she'd just dropped a gargoyle on Adalind's head and that was before she got really angry over the pregnancy. In her mind the baby was as guilty of wrong doing as Adalind and wanted to send Adalind to hell and also meant the baby as well. Nick intervening when he did stopped Juliette's violent intentions towards Adalind because she was shocked to see him actually defend Adalind but in reality he was protecting his baby.
This post saved me a lot of trouble. I guess Nick really couldn't do anything to stop Juliette so the correct move would've been to step aside and go on a lunch break and let Juliette do whatever it is she was intending on doing when approaching Adalind. Nick should've just gathered everyone else in that hallway and left with them while telling Adalind and Juliette to settle this amongst themselves. After all, Juliette could've hurt Adalind any time she wanted to and didn't so he should've taken that as a certainty right off the bat. He was worried over nothing.
I'm basing that on what you just replied to because that could easily be translated into what I wrote in the above paragraph. Nick should've just read Juliette's mind and know that she meant no harm. She was just joking when she said she would rip that little bitch's throat out and Nick, Hank, Wu, and Renard just lack the sense of humor to understand.
