I'm sure she assumed as a one off there was virtually no chance of getting pregnant and seemed completely shocked and genuinely upset to discover she was carrying a little Grimm.(05-18-2015, 01:50 PM)Belle Wrote: Have you ever heard of the show "I didn't know I was pregnant?"
Women have all sorts of reasons for getting pregnant without intending to. Maybe Adalind sincerely thought she couldn't get pregnant. For all we know hexenbeasts normally have a really hard time conceiving.
Considering 1/2 of all pregnancies in the US are unintended, Adalind is just a regular gal with extremely bad luck.
By the way, did they ever really confirm that Diana is Sean's and not his brothers? Seems like they still need a paternity test on that one.
I'm also left wondering where Sean's mom ended up while she was on her search for her granddaughter.
I've never heard of the show, but I have heard of the excuse. Just from my perspective, it seems real convenient to first get pregnant with royal baby, then get pregnant with a Grimm baby. These don't sound like unintended pregnancies, they seem real intended to me. Could there be a power play in there somewhere? With Adalind, anything is possible.
I haven't heard if they confirmed if Diana was Sean's or not. On the other hand, he isn't contesting paternity, so I don't really see the point of having a test done.
Personally, I think you could also argue that when she lost her powers she wasn't thinking clearly. The idea that she would want to tie herself to the royals any way she could therefore made sense to me.
I guess Grimm is like art and literature...it's subject to interpretation.
