Jon not getting on Dragon was just stupid. The flapping of Drogon's wings would've gotten rid of any attacking wights. If I didn't know any better, I'd say Jon just wanted to show off for Dany.
The Night King going for Viserion instead of Drogon didn't make any sense either. He could've gotten the biggest dragon and taken everyone out by doing so. The war would've ended right there.
I wonder why nobody told Dany to go for the Night King. I don't know if a dragon can kill a White Walker but it was worth a shot. Viserion was providing cover so that would've left Rhaegal free to attack him. One of the guys could've suggested to Dany to tell Rhaegal to go straight for him. The NK would've probably killed him instead but even that would've made more sense than the NK squaring up Viserion so perfectly.
The NK is unbelievably strong. How can anyone hope to defeat him in battle? Stealth is going to be required. I guess this is where Bran will show just how powerful he is by making some incredible assist to defeat him.
