I could believe something like this, say, if she were seeking a role in a blockbuster like Doctor Strange or the Star Wars movies. But Grimm? Like the Adalind and Nick connection, it just doesn't mesh.

I don't think David is close to a character actor: Monroe, Bud, Wu were characters that they played in various capacities in many shows/movies. David has a thin resume and plays no recognizable type of character consistently. Personally I do not think he mad ea believable detective nor did I buy him in the Benghazi flick either. he ants to be a leading man, but,in my opinion, falls far short of the mark. And he would have to step it up to become a notable character actor.
I thought he was completely miscast as Nick. To cover the blunder, the writers tried various changes to make him more appealing. I always thought it would have been interesting to see Juliette as a full fledged vet, handling animals, and working with people. Not showing her as a vet was a sad drawback to her character.
But, in thinking about this, I believe Juliette would have been way more popular than Nick. People love animals and someone who cares for them goes a long way in their view. She can't outshine Nick and she would have easily as a vet. That's why I believe no one backed her in the series.
Bitsie was a good sport to admit Eve was a hero and such, but she was the only one doing that. None of the other actors, from what I recall, ever commented on what a juicy role she got and how they wished they would have gotten something similar.
So they teamed Claire with DG. Adalind was a popular character and always fun to watch. I know, she had a baby and wanted to tend to it, so bring another baby into the series. But the fact of the matter is, baby or not, she didn't make DG look any better. It didn't work. I don't think it's fair for anyone to blame Bitsie for Grimm's failure because she's not the one who's supposed to be the primary watchable in the series. DG is.
If the lead actor has to have girlfriends changing to accommodate his faulty acting, there's something wrong with him, not them.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
