So I can understand the screen time between both changing in Season 4 and 5. In Season 5 Claire was raising a new born and that is already stressful so they didn't want to overwork her. IMO that is one of the reasons they decided to make Juilette into a Hexenbiest. She was suppose to be the new Adalind, since Claire couldn't really work the hours.
Adalind's contract is for the least hours. She has never been in every show of a season of Grimm due to that.

Before Juilette even turned on Nick and Co ratings had already decreased. If Juilette fans were really leaving than they weren't really Juilette fans to begin with because if I truly like a character I am going to stick with them even if they had 1 bad season.
In most Grimm seasons the biggest Demo rating changes where during the summer, the first few shows and the last few shows. Season 4, second half, has the clearest drop in demo until the last few shows of any Grimm during the middle of the season. That is not "proof" of anything by itself but is does means it is possible that demo ratings were affected by the "evil" hexenbiest theme.

Don't they realize what they want changed is all ready filmed. The Juliette to Eve transformation. that story line was all ready written and most had been filmed before we even got the first glimpse of Eve. The same with the Nadalind story line. So how could viewers comments effect the show if the show was filmed before the viewers even saw it. They are not going back to edit something because of negative press.
The editing of the Grimm shows is finished only 3.5 weeks before it is out and they do drop scenes or sentences and such late sometimes.
G&K loves to change how to interpret the show based on viewers reactions.
G&K had asked viewers questions near the end of season 6. G&K acted surprised that Claire was the second most popular character and that Nick supporting Adalind with Kelly and Diana was seen as very important. G&K then said in interviews that Nick and Adalind were going to get married. Nick only just told Adalind on screen that he loved her.
IMO Nick acts like he has some form of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) since the end of season 4 when it comes to his personal life. He bought the fome and encourages Adalind the kids to stay at home to be safe. Nick came home very late at night so he really is not big part of their lives. IMO if he was not living with them he would almost never see them. IMO this same Nick mentality holds back commitment to Adalind by Nick too.
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.
