Trubel might well be 1/2 from one of the other Grimm families, but the half that mattered in the finale was the one that makes her Nick's cousin, and that's from the Kessler tree.
They never said she was a Kessler. All was said was that she was Nick's third cousin.
If both Kelly's grandparent's were Grimms and Truble is from her grandmother side which isn't a Kessler where her Grandfather is a Kessler, that would not make Truble a Kessler. Yet Truble would still be Nick's third cousin.
I don't know if my example make sense but for Truble to be Nick's cousin and a Grimm that doesn't mean she is a Kessler. With each generation a New family line is added. Unless you interbreed with your family.
