Diana is exactly like an alien or android that is tasked with learning how humans act. Noticed how Diana does not have normal reactions to anything. Even as a baby she did not react as a baby would. Also notice how Diana has always seemed to be in her own world.Diana was conceived by the same clinical function as anyone else. Without any other factor being involved, Diana would have been a Hexenbiest. She would not be a human child. The show has never had any of the characters react to Diana as anything other than a child who happens to have super powers because of outside machinations. Kelly might have kidnapped Diana because of her potential powers, but she responded to her as a baby/child. Juliette might have gone along with Kenneth in taking Diana to the King, but she was compelled to reach out to her as one might reach out to a child after a horrific event. Meisner & HW didn’t show concern that BC having Diana would provide them a powerful weapon/advantage. They’re concern was that BC having Diana would compromise Adalind & Kelly, which would ultimately compromise Nick. The characters know as much about Diana as viewers do, and at no time did any of the characters respond to Diana as an entity.

There is nothing about how the captain acts that is even close to how a real police captain acts. They never secure a crime scene. They contaminate evidence. You never see anyone ware gloves. Have you ever seen a forensic team. Wu does the forensics. The show does not even attempt to make it seem real. The show is not a story about Grimm's or A detective mystery. The show is a situation drama. Every episode they create a situation and then contrive a solution. This does not require supplying the details. It does not even require it to be logical. My point didn’t have anything to do with a reality based show that strictly adheres to police procedure. It was about the creative team unnecessarily introducing personal conflict & drama that only causes confusion when they drop it or change it to benefit a Wesen of the week episode.
Your analysis would be true if grimm was a drama. But it is not it is a show of contrived situations. Most detective shows establish the crime then tell how they solve it or provide clues to let the viewer solve the crime. On Grimm it is not about the crime it is about what the characters do. The show is based on the characters actions. The how and why comes second. Actions are not driven by motivation. Actions are driven by reasons.
I never suggested that Grimm needed to balance Nick the detective with Nick the Grimm, only that the creative team shouldn’t do both unless they were capable of doing both well.
