If it could read thoughts (and I doubt very much it can), Nick would have to be very, very careful about how he thinks when he's around the staff. Such an instrument that not only has access to the subconscious and conscious of its controller, but has the automatic permission to utilize such information in a way it sees fit would be a very, very dangerous thing indeed.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
