Reading the last few posts is just more water under the bridge of trying to make an argument where there was never any arguments to be made.
When Adalind met Meisner and he then spilled the beans about his girlfriend, we saw an Adalind looking for companionship and dependencies of staying alive and keeping her new born from the Royals.
At the same time, we saw a Meisner shoot down any romantic inclinations by him attesting to his one and only mission. The mission was to revenge his girlfriends painful demise by the Royals.
Here is a simple question to us viewers that were paying attention to the show. Why did Meisner reverse the Kenneth/Juliette kidnapping of Diana and at the same time, kill the top man responsible for his girlfriends death? It sure wasn't to please Adalind, since Meisner continued Kelly's job to be keep Diana in hiding, utilizing HW to keep her from the Royals and Adalind herself.
Why did Meisner ended up with HW? IMO, he continued his fight against the killer arm of the Royals that used to be Verat. To Meisner, the Royal, Verat, BC Wesen, All were woven from the same cloth. All these groups represented to him, one main purpose left in his life, REVENGE!
So, to answer this question if Meisner and Adalind could have worked out? Hell NO. The Meisner character was not written as a romantic type character in the whole series. He was written as a contract killer, a mercenary. No more, no less.
